Cheese and Pyrenees Products Fair in Canfranc, a cross-border event with flavor

Canfranc Station will host a gastronomic and cultural festival on Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd, uniting both sides of the Pyrenees. The northern esplanade of the international station will host the Cheese Fair and Producers and Artisans Market, organized by the association “La Main à la Pâtte” as part of the “The Mountain, Its People, Its Villages” festival.

For two days, visitors and locals can enjoy a Franco-Spanish market with the best of the artisanal production of both countries: cheeses, wines, sausages, honeys, pastries, beers, ciders, chocolates… as well as textile crafts, jewelry, ceramics and other traditional trades.
The program is complemented by a wide range of activities for all audiences: musical parades, traditional games, children's entertainment, sheep shearing demonstrations, agroecological conferences, tastings and workshops.
Saturday's highlights include a talk by agronomist Alain Canet, vice president of the French National Center for Agroecology, as well as a free concert by the French band "Chepito Colectivo." Sunday will feature a cheese competition with a children's jury, a guided botanical walk, and traditional music with "Los Gaiters de Xaca" and the group Bearagon.
All activities are free and bilingual (Spanish-French). The fair strengthens ties between producers, institutions, and visitors from both sides of the border in an event that showcases the flavors, knowledge, and landscapes of the Pyrenees.
